An overview of acute management in chemical eye injuries

Chemical eye injuries are true ophthalmic emergencies and require immediate intervention. Causative agents can be classified as alkalis, acids, and irritants. Alkali burns are more common and can cause significant tissue damage due to deep tissue penetration.
