Pharma Dynamics launches two new cost-saving analgesics

“Patients will either experience relief after taking Micrania Melts or will find their headache more manageable – allowing them to carry on with their day-to-day activities.

To help ease the financial burden on patients, Pharma Dynamics is making Micrania Melts available at 56% less than the originator.

It comes in a pleasant mint-flavoured tablet that can be taken orally. The recommended dose in adults is 5 to 10mg (clinical experience has shown that a 10mg dose provides the optimal clinical benefit, however some patients respond to lower doses). Should symptoms resurface after two hours of taking the initial dose, another tablet can be taken, but no more than 30 mg should be taken in a 24-hour period.

The company has also introduced Tamoltra Forte (tramadol/paracetamol) – indicated for the symptomatic treatment of moderate to severe pain.

“Each tablet contains 75mg tramadol and 650mg paracetamol, and is priced at 38% less than the originator.

“The combination of tramadol and paracetamol provides the benefit of synergistic analgesia. Tamoltra Forte offers double the strength; it effectively halves the pill burden by reducing the need for multiple tablets,” says Kenny.

Tramadol is a synthetic opioid and acts in the brain and spine (central nervous system) to reduce pain, while paracetamol is an analgesic. Bioequivalence has been proven relative to the originator in both Micrania Melts and Tamoltra Forte.

These two products further diversify Pharma Dynamics’ analgesics portfolio, which currently consists of eight brands.
