Dr Narainsamy achieved her specialisation as a physician in 2010 and qualified as an endocrinologist in 2015. In the same year, she also completed her master's degree in medicine. Her dedication to the field of endocrinology was sparked during her registrar training, and she continues to find great satisfaction in her current role. Dr Narainsamy has primarily concentrated her practice on diabetes care, understanding the substantial lifestyle changes required for effective treatment. She derives immense fulfilment from making a positive impact on her patients' lives.
She boasts an extensive portfolio of published works, having contributed to various esteemed journals such as the South African Journal of Psychiatry, South African Journal of Diabetes, and Lifestyle Diabetes magazine. Her academic journey led her through the halls of the University of Natal, where she pursued her undergraduate and postgraduate education. Until 2015, she dedicated her expertise as a specialist physician within both the public and private healthcare domains. Presently, she thrives as a practicing endocrinologist in the private sector.
