The majority of BCa cases are diagnosed in women >40-years and incidence increases with age.2 For example, compared to women in the age group 20- to 24-years (1.5 cases per 100 000), the incidence rate is exponentially higher in women between 75- to 79-years old (421.3 per 100 000). The median age of diagnosis is 61-years.2 Unfortunately, between 5%–10% of women are diagnosed at metastatic stage.4
