Dr Visser bio 

Dr Visser is the Head of Dermatology at the University of Stellenbosch, Tygerberg Academic Hospital. He also works as a part-time consultant in dermatology for a number of private institutions. He earned his medical degree from the University of Stellenbosch. He completed both his Masters degree in Family Medicine (M.Fam.Med) and a Masters degree in Dermatology (MMed Dermatology) at the University of the Free State. Dr Visser has a passion for medical education and teaching. He is the current treasurer of the Dermatological Society of South Africa (DSSA). He serves as a committee member on several advisory boards and other committees. Dr Visser has authored a number of publications and book chapters. He has an active interest in research and focuses on establishing a culture of research in the division of dermatology and also among medical students. He has delivered lectures, locally and internationally. He is actively involved in a number of community projects and provides consulting services to popular magazines and to peripheral hospitals and clinics.
