Dr Joshi will be focusing on the transition from oral therapy to injectable therapy, including when to initiate a GLP-1, when to transition to insulin therapy and how to titrate and intensify insulin therapy. Injectable insulin comes in a variety of forms, including short- and long-acting, as well as pre-mixed insulin. Most diabetics administer insulin injections based on their blood glucose levels, according to a predetermined regimen worked out in collaboration with their doctor.
