Dr Lodder is the founder of the Allergy and Asthma Clinic in George, Western Cape. A general practitioner with a special interest in allergic diseases, she earned her Diploma in Allergology from the SA College of Medicine in 2003.
Since 2006, Dr Lodder has been a member of The SA Allergic Rhinitis Working Group, contributing to the development of treatment guidelines, with the latest review published in November 2023 in SA Family Practice.
In 2007, she joined the Department of Immunology at the University of Pretoria as a part-time researcher. Her research, presented at both local and international congresses, resulted in four publications in international journals.
She was awarded a PhD in November 2011 for her thesis titled Investigation of the Neutrophil-Directed Anti-Inflammatory Properties of the Cysteinyl Leukotriene Receptor Antagonist, Montelukast.
After 24 years of practice in Boksburg, she relocated to George in April 2019, continuing her work as a general practitioner and allergist. In April 2021, she opened a dedicated Allergy and Asthma Clinic in George, focusing on Allergology, Asthma, and Immune Deficiencies.
Dr Lodder is actively involved in continuing medical education, lecturing at events, conducting webinars, and writing scientific articles. She is passionate about educating on allergic conditions and asthma, aiming to enable patients to live normal lives.
