Healthcare professionals are often unaware of the risk of sudden cardiac death in patients with HFrEF and assume that those with mild-to-moderate symptoms do not require intensive therapy. As a result, interventions that can prevent sudden death in HFrEF are underutilized.1

The prevalence of HF has been steadily increasing over the last few years and currently affect between 1% and 2% of adults globally.
