People with psychiatric disorders not only have to learn how to manage their illness, but they also have to deal with stereotyping, discrimination, prejudice, and stigmatisation. The main driver of stigmatisation is the lack of knowledge about psychiatric diseases, perpetuated by the media in some countries, and fear and superstition in others.1,2
